To support the global launch of the long-anticipated ‘adizero F50 Messi’, iris London created an online competition that is arguably as distinct as adidas’ new flagship boot. For Fast or Fail, MediaMonks produced a social media-fueled running frenzy that lets gamers speed through an abstract representation of Messi’s journey to the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The more people are talking about Messi, the faster the game goes. MediaMonks is also responsible for the campaign’s promo film, which combines live-action with extensive VFX to show Messi himself taking it up against an army of 3D opponents in a fully CG stadium.
