When you buy a new Philips Sonicare toothbrush, it is ready to deliver brushings. Find out how and when you should recharge your electric toothbrush.
Charge your Philips Sonicare toothbrush before first use

Although Philips Sonicare toothbrushes leave the factory with a charge, you should charge the handle for at least 24 hours before using it for the first time to ensure it is fully charged.
Store your Philips Sonicare toothbrush in the charger

Store your Sonicare toothbrush in the charger base when it is not in use and leave the charger base plugged in for maximum brushing power and a long battery life. You can safely leave the charger base plugged in because it is impossible to overcharge the Sonicare toothbrush and because the batteries used in the handle don't need draining.
