Telmo Vicente was born in Setúbal, Portugal, in July 1980.
At the age of 6, music was a vast part of his education. At Luisa Todi Academy, he begins to discover and develop his creative process.
When he was 20 years old, he moved to Lisbon to pursue the craft of filmmaking at U.L.H.T.
In 2005, he completed his degree in Cinema and Multimedia Communication and shortly after, he began to work as an assistant director learning his way around the set.
Simultaneosly he attends several workshops like Judith Weston "Acting for director's", Alan Myerson "Directing Actors for the camera", Mark Kohl "Directing TV Commercials”, Robert Mckee "Story" and "Genre", Christopher Vogler "The writer's journey" and other.
After a lengthy learning curve as an AD, with over 100 commercials experience, Telmo begins to work as a director in 2013.
On feature films, his first short film “Appetizer” won best director award at the 48 Hours Film Festival. His second short film “Breathe” was selected at the International Short Film Festival, Virginia, USA.
In his latest work, the commercial "HORSE” was awarded with Silver for TV Commercials at ADCE, Gold for Best Film at CCP 2015 and officially selected at El OJO Iberoamérica Film Festival.
Vodafone TV campaign got Bronze for Best Campaign 2013 at the Creativity Awards M&P Portugal.
In 2015, Marketeer Magazine published "BIG Social Experiment" in the "top 10 Campaigns of the year.”
"Beach" was awarded with Silver, TV e Cinema, at Lusófonos creativity awards in 2018.
