This video was shot on Arri Alexa and the first time I have shot with Cooke S4 primes. We were looking to reference the Drum magazine portrait photography of the 70's and decided to art-direct the space for the house party to feel retro but keep the guys as modern as possible. The characters were all 1st time actors with no experience in front of a camera. Lots of fun with feathers all over the location when we left... Thanks to the Maboneng Precinct in Johannesburg city for the use of the amazing space. All editing & grading done at Mushroom Media.
