I was the Previs Director on WILDEST WEATHER IN THE SOLAR SYSTEM... a planetarium film for National Geographic.
Designing shots and camera moves for "the dome" was a new and challenging and very interesting experience. After blocking all of the shots, I took a portion of those shots to completion. I designed and created all of the CG for these "map graphics" shots, detailing the ship's path through the solar system. I also animated and lit the two full fly-throughs of the solar system.
All CG was done in Houdini, at Floq FX in Culver City.
