Honda Accord 2017 - Behind the Scenes

To support the launch of the all-new accord, the USA's best-selling sedan, our expertise with premium automotive CGI imagery meant we partnered once more with our friends at RPA to deliver a full suite of cross-platform assets designed to highlight its luxurious aesthetic in a variety of scenarios.

We’re always looking for market-leading techniques and technologies that can enhance our creative process and give our clients ultimate flexibility and more efficiency.
Using the cutting-edge 3D scanning techniques from our award-winning SBLAB’s piece ‘Statues', we created photo-realistic 'Virtual Talent' for many of the lifestyle shots, giving the creative team more flexibility to design and deliver both the animated and stills version of each shot.
Because the talent are virtual, it means they are instantly available for new imagery in the future - with the right wardrobe and styling locked in - and will match any camera position, lighting condition and location they are placed into.
This is a truly flexible way to ‘shoot’ talent, by capturing them in 3D in super-high detail.
With our trusted combination of creative flair, cast-iron processes and round-the-clock project diligence, our on-set team captured all of the right photographic materials needed to inform the high-res CGI imagery and produced super-fast renders at each location.
Our senior artists then spent time inside the agency to further craft the initial range of images with the RPA creative team for early client sign off of comps, meaning we were ahead of the game.
The Honda Accord project harnessed our fully integrated Cuttlefish® production pipeline - which gives our artists the freedom to focus on designing lighting and crafting an aesthetic that oozes luxury, thus complementing the car's stunning design.
