It is one thing to develop a creative product that pushes the boundaries of common practice. It is something entirely different to smash those boundaries altogether. 'The Breakthrough' for Desperados – as the name hints – does exactly that. The first YouTube page 'takeover' to incorporate Facebook Connect; it also innovatively redeployed the UI features of YouTube to interact with its users, and concluded with a personal moment that leveraged virality in an original way. All combining to produce one of the most interactive YouTube campaigns ever seen.
