ADC was founded in 1920 to ensure that commercial art is judged by the same stringent standards as fine art. Since the ADC Annual Awards of Art + Craft in Advertising and Design are dedicated to honoring craft, the winners' certificates themselves were crafted with just as much attention to detail.
