Created to spread awareness of the great work that the Africa Progress Panel is doing, their latest public service announcement makes use of stylised animation to bring home the story of the roles ordinary people play in the future of Africa.
Magna Carta Public Relations briefed Masters & Savant Worldwide CT to create the animated PSA specifically for online viral distribution.
Reto Reolon, Masters & Savant Worldwide CT MD says, “the public service announcement makes use of a very specific art and animation style, lending weight to the central themes of Africa and a fable that is still only a possibility and not a predetermined fate. “By using stylised illustration we were able to use simple 2D and 3D animation to communicate the story. This allowed for a more traditional and hand crafted feel, not standard cartoon animation, but something that presented the two views of Africa in more of a dramatic and slightly more artistic light. Giving it that needed abstract edge.”
