From Liverpool, Matt has been passionate about making films and taking photographs all his life, and with over 20 years experience, his work covers a wide range of subjects.
After studying film at London College of Printing, Matt began his careering directing music documentaries; going on to direct drama for BBC, ITV and Sky. Since then he has directed commercials, branded content, documentaries and virals for some of the world’s leading companies, including Nokia, British Airways, IBM, HP and Ericsson.
Comfortable with all scales of production, and with an enthusiastic interest in people and stories, Matt is a master at finding inventive ways to capture everyday lifestyle moments in a fresh and effective way. His films often integrate flexible and innovative production techniques, anything from mixing CGI with footage shot on a mobile phone, to designing films for 80ft panoramic screens. His involvement in projects often starts with the writing and development of the initial concept.
Matt is currently developing a feature film with the British Film Institute.
