The history of The Woolmark Company is built on innovation. Initiated by Australian woolgrowers who recognised the need for a collective body to represent their fibre globally, The Woolmark Company is a commitment between woolgrowers, manufacturers, brands and consumers of the authenticity and quality of the fibre that connects us. Our mission is to continue to foster innovation throughout the global wool industry by communication and collaboration with leaders in all areas of the global wool community. We support a network of initiatives throughout the global supply chain – from the woolgrowers on farms to textile technicians, fashion designers and conscious consumers – and offer resources, expertise, development programs and educational partnerships. Mother
Twenty five years ago, Mother was founded by four creative, free-thinking individuals sitting around a kitchen table in London. Today Mother is still fiercely independent, but we have kitchen tables in London, New York, Los Angeles and Shanghai, with an international family of over 500 creative, free-thinking individuals sitting around them. From fast-moving retailers and brands with global scale, to local jewels with local needs, we create ideas that are embraced by popular culture and deliver more powerfully as a result. Everybody who is passionate about making great work is always welcome at our table.
