The VFXCo Motion Control
"The Visual Effects Company is one of the most experienced motion control companies in the world. Since its inception in 2003 it has established itself as a market leader and continues to push boundaries in motion control and visual effects filming, The founder members of The VFX Co. were pioneers of live action motion control filming from their early days at Cell Animation. During their time at the company they worked on several groundbreaking commercials and pop promos, including the award winning ‘Guinness Journey’ for Blink productions and Michel Gondry’s iconic ‘Hyperballad’ for Bjork. In 1996 the team moved on to set up the camera division of new facility Mill Film. Mill Film went on to be the first effects company in the UK to win an Oscar, for visual effects work on ‘Gladiator’. While at Mill Film the group worked on feature films such as Ridley Scott’s ‘Hannibal’, Tony Scott’s ‘Enemy of the State’, Steven Spielberg’s ‘Saving Private Ryan’ and ‘Moulin Rouge’ for Baz Luhrmann. Major commercials shot include Lincoln’s ‘Amazing Journey’ and Mercedes ‘Noah’s Ark’ for Gerard De Thame, ‘Adidas Clone’ for Medhi Norowzian and ‘Walkers Crisps’ for Paul Weiland. Now based in Soho, London, The VFX Co. has a reputation that spans the globe and the company works with many of the world’s leading directors. Recent high-profile projects include feature films such as ‘Harry Potter’, ‘Sweeney Todd’ and ‘Sherlock Holmes’, as well as many commercials such as ‘British Airways’ for Daniel Barber at Knucklehead, ‘XBox Guitar Hero’ for Daniel Askill at Radical Media, and Grand Prix award-winning ‘Philips Carousel’ for Adam Berg at Stink. teamLab (f. 2001) is art collective, an interdisciplinary group of ultratechnologists whose collaborative practice seeks to navigate the confluence of art, science, technology, design and the natural world. Various specialists such as artists, programmers, engineers, CG animators, mathematicians and architects form teamLab. teamLab aims to explore a new relationship between humans and nature through art. Digital technology has allowed us to liberate art from the physical and transcend boundaries. We see no boundary between ourselves and nature; one is in the other and the other in one. Everything exists in a long, fragile yet miraculous continuity of life.

THIS HAS LEAD TO SEVERAL ACCLAIMED COLLABORATIONS WITH TOP AGENCIES, SUCH AS WIEDEN+KENNEDY, AND HAS GOTTEN TO DISPLAY HIS WORK ON BIG ARENAS, SUCH AS THE SUPERBOWL.AT THE MOMENT, ADAM IS DEVELOPING ON A FEATURE FILM IN LOS ANGELES WITH SCREEN WRITER ANDREW KEVIN WALKER (SE7EN, FIGHT CLUB) THROUGH MUTUAL REPS, CREATIVE ARTISTS AGENCY. Nick Ball
Nick Ball knows there are some situations you simply shouldn’t laugh at – and he has built a career exploiting that. Following in the footsteps of many directors before him, Nick is a film school dropout who, driven by his passion for character development and crafting of cinematic worlds, has consistently proven himself to be a performance director who loves to push ideas and concepts as far as possible. He keeps big brands interesting with a distinctive cinematic style that keeps viewers guessing and on their toes.
Nick strives to find precisely the right tone and unique (if often irreverent) worldview that best serves every idea in front of him. A keen observer and serial eavesdropper, Nick uses his insight into the human condition to represent characters with empathy, awareness and humor which he skillfully combines with the carefully considered worlds he builds around them. Nick’s work has achieved recognition from all major award shows, including Cannes, D&AD, One Show, CLIOS, LIA, AWARD and AXIS. In 2016, he took home an armful of Cannes Lions for his GEICO campaign, including the coveted Gold Lion in Film.
