Jeremy Rubier, founder of 3rd Culture Kids Production Company, is an experienced director, cinematographer and editor. Embodying the definition of a âThird Culture Kid,â Jeremy was born in Paris, and then moved to Montreal, Canada when he was 15 years old. He then lived in Tokyo, followed by New York, Shanghai and Hong-Kong. Jeremy graduated from the prestigious Mel Hoppenheim school of Cinema in Montreal in 2011, and has logged over 10 years traveling the world as director and videographer. His first major short film, titled âThe Interview,â won him Best Director at Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal. His most recent documentary, named âThird Culture Kids,â was a finalist at the Fusion Doc Challenge and was selected at this yearâs Slamdance Film Festival. Jeremy has toured and done videos for artists ranging from mainstream acts including Skrillex, Avici, WMC, and Osheaga to more underground acts such as Maya Jane Coles and Maceo Plex. He has also directed commercials for companies such as Robert Deniroâs NOBU, the EF school, Porsche, Verboten, and more. Recently, he has been traveling world-wide while directing music videos for up-and-coming artist such as Young Paris from New York and Unda from Bangkok. Jeremy is 27 years old and lives somewhere in the world.
