Director

Paul first made a name for himself as a documentary photographer, capturing niche sub-cultures within the South African youth landscape. It is with this keen observational eye that Paul is able to seamlessly and honestly transform his documentary aesthetic into a commercial frame.

In recent years Paul has been working internationally, shooting all over the globe for a number of high profile clients, who seek his honest view into youth culture. His transition from stills to film was a natural one, coming from a desired request from clients to transform his still lens into motion.

컨셉과 디자인에 툴적인 스킬을 더해야만 만들어 질 수 있는 것이 바로 모션그래픽입니다. 그래서 단기간내에 툴적인 것들만 배워서는 작품이 만들어지기 어렵습니다. 요즘은 수많은 교육 관련 학원들이 많고, 짧은 시간안에 속성으로 뭔가를 이룰 수 있다고들 하지만.... 조금만 공부를 해보시면 그것이 불가능하다는 것을 깨닫습니다. 물리적인 시간이 반드시 필요하니까요. 기본부터 착실히 하나하나 짚어가면서 공부를 해야만 여러분들이 원하시는 목표에 가까워질 수 있습니다. 학원은 방향을 제시해주고, 수정해 주는 곳입니다. 혼자 공부할 수 있게끔 만들어 주는 곳이기도 합니다. 그래서 모션랩은 지식도 전달하지만 더 큰 경험을 가르쳐 드리겠습니다.
