Born and raised in England, Jordan Scott’s directorial career at RSA has spanned eighteen years. In that time, she has worked throughout the world directing campaigns for many prominent agencies and clients.
Scott conceived and directed the first ever short-film/ TV advertising campaign for PRADA. Premiering at the Berlin Film Festival, “Thunder Perfect Mind” was inspired by the ancient Gnostic poem of the same name. In the short, one girl represents all women, free to embody more than one authentic self. The film is poetic, independent and strikingly feminine.
In 2005, “All the Invisible Children” premiered at the Venice Film Festival. The film benefited UNICEF and The World Hunger Program, featuring seven shorts about childhood adversity through the eyes of seven renowned directors. Scott’s film was “Jonathan,” in which the grim reality of a war photographer’s career is told through the lens of a child’s eye.
Her debut feature film, “Cracks,” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2009. Starring Eva Green and set in 1930’s England, the film is a compelling tale of adolescent obsession and innocence corrupted.
The movie displays the same strengths that Jordan brings to her commercials. Her work is consistently stylish and seductive, but there is always a current of candid honesty as well.
Scott has led commercial campaigns for prominent clients including Nike, Martini, Land Rover, Renault, Credit Suisse, Hugo Boss featuring Gwyneth Paltrow, and Armani Jeans featuring Rihanna. Recent projects include campaigns for Nespresso featuring Penelope Cruz, Avon and Chloé featuring Dree Hemingway.
Additionally, Jordan led a Diesel stills campaign, as well as a film and stills campaign for Agent Provocateur.
