I was born just outside of Queens, but I spent most of my formative years upstate in Endicott, NY (near Binghamton, which is near Syracuse, which is right in the middle of New York, which is in the North East quadrant of the United States of America).  

After graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2001, I moved to New York City and began taking improv classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.  Over the next few years I got put on one of UCB’s house improv teams, I wrote and directed a bunch of sketch comedy shows, met my future wife, and watched about a billion hours of live comedy.  

In 2004, I was hired to write for season 1 of MTV’s “The Andy Milonakis Show,” which was my first job in TV and lead to two more seasons, as well as writing for “Crank Yankers” and “Human Giant.”  By 2007 I was living in Los Angeles and working as a writer/director at Funny or Die.  This lead to directing a pilot presentation for MTV called “Death Valley” and an Adult Swim project called NTSF:SD:SUV::.  By the end of 2010, both shows were picked up to series and I left the internet to direct television full time. 

I primarily direct network half hour comedies and commercials now, though I will occasionally go rogue and make a web video on my own.  I perform every Sunday night at 9:30 at the UCB Theatre (LA) with my improv group, “Shitty Jobs.”
