Derin Seale’s breathtaking spot Mistakes for the New Zealand Transport Authority has been lauded worldwide, going viral with over 14 million unpaid views on YouTube. Seale’s direction of the spot continues to be celebrated at advertising award shows globally, including Grand Prix at the NY Festivals, Gold at the ONE show and Gold and Silver at Cannes Lions. 
Directing action sequences for the Hollywood features Cold Mountain and The Talented Mr. Ripley taught Seale to run big, international units, with a nothing-is-impossible approach and careful, technical execution. In 2010 he was asked to helm the short film for Qatar’s 2022 Football World Cup bid. They won.
