Debbie is an award-winning director and has made work across different genres: documentary films, docu-drama and drama. She received her Master’s from the Royal College of Art in London where she studied film.
Debbie has also directed several commercial and social issue campaigns with; Samsung, Huawei, Bacardi, Samaritans, Channel 4, Aviva, Boots No7, Bacardi, COI (government social issue campaigns), Sky Arts, TATE, Mind, Citizens UK and more.
She was named outstanding new talent to look out for by Shots magazine, with pick of the weeks in Campaign magazine, and won several awards for her COI Anti-knife Crime Campaign ‘IT DOESN’T HAVE TO HAPPEN,’ two short dramas based on real testimonies.
Her acclaimed documentary ORDINARY MAGIC, with music composed by Michael Nyman, screened at a number of festivals worldwide.
She has just completed her debut short drama THREE SACKS FULL OF HATS, a co-production of Century Films and Prodigal, written by Geoff Thompson, starring Warren Brown and Alison Steadman. Debbie is currently developing her debut feature with writer Geoff Thompson and producer Lee Thomas (Prodigal).
