Cadmo was born in 1970 in Hamburg, Germany. He grew up in Bogotá, Colombia , the homeland of his father, the artist Guillermo Quintero. After finishing high school he attended photography school in Bogotá. In 1990 Cadmo returned to Hamburg.
After a short stop-over at the college of art he studied directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg. He shot various short films and survived the commercial directing-class of Volker Schlegel in his 3rd year. In 1997 Cadmo successfully completed his degree as feature film director.
Cadmo has the unique talent of mixing great performance direction with a strong visual impact.
