LANDRY

Landry is a short documentary film about the Danish/Ivorian professional boxer Landry Kore.
The film is an intimate personal portrait of Landry and his struggle to create a good life for him self and a story about what he has left behind in that quest. There is also a bigger and more universal theme underneath Landrys personal story. What it means to live in this global world. What it means to be a man coming from Africa and now living in Europe.
The film puts a face and a heart on all the invisible people we only hear about in the news. All the boats in sea outside the European border that are filled with people in it. People fighting for a better life. We all have them as a collective memory loss in the back of our heads.
What does it actually mean to be an immigrant? Immigrants are usually locked down upon.
