Director bio
Michael Middelkoop is an Amsterdam based writer and director in film and advertising. Raised by a Dutch mom and Congolese dad, he grew up with Motown soul, Dutch folk and Cartoon Network. After graduating in film at the University of Amsterdam, he has been producing music videos and commercial work. Netflix & Chill is his debut narrative short, based on his personal experiences as a teenager navigating love in a digital era. Currently, Michael Middelkoop is touring festivals with latest short, Moustache (2019) as well as writing and directing the second season of the web series Stock Boys (2019).
