IN.AH.KES. The Fall
Concept
The path to achieving one’s upmost potential beings with overcoming one’s self.
Concept Breakdown
This installment of IN.AH.KES. is driven by the themes Degeneration, Inadequacy, Fear, Self – Consciousness, Hesitance, Mental Paralysis and Dwelling. Following the poetic narrative, we start off in an abstract world, a twisted depiction of the mind of our main character. In this world exist two thrones, the one of our main character and the one of the ruler of this world, the alternate version of himself. In a decision to face himself, our protagonist walks towards his foe, pondering heavily as he does. He is reminded of past failures, emotions that materialize in the form of striking visual metaphors. Ultimately at the end he faces himself. Realizing he has yet to sum up the will and confidence to overpower him, he is defeated.
Script
Fallen, from the peak of potential,
I’ve become nothing but a fragment of what I use to be.
Guided by fear, the emotion is relentless.
Disrupting every endeavor, consuming, paralyzing.
Absorbed in self-consciousness,
Confidence falters under compressed pressure,
Creating calculated paths of misdirection.
I am displaced
Separated from myself
