We had the pleasure to work again with the great Lovie Awards team, this time the challenge was to create an animation that would serve as an introduction to the life and work of Yann LeCun, the Lifetime Achievement Award Winner of 2016.
Yann was a pioneer in the creation of neural networks, which propelled the development of machine learning, mobile robotics and computational neuroscience, among other learning fields.
We wanted to give the animation a mix of 90’s video and print material, so we figured that blending photography, animation, textures and low frame rate all together was the way to go!
