The Pardela Balear is one of the most threatened species in Europe.
They have a very fragile population count, and sometimes when they are fishing for food, they get fatally caught in the fishing nets as a bycatch.
SPEA (The Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds) is developing solutions with the fishing fleets to prevent the bycatch of this endangered species.
The main purpose of the animation was to create awareness about this cause and the noble work the team at Spea is developing each day!
