A new launch campaign in a bold direction for Expedia and The UEFA Champions League - titled Play The City. The film celebrates the range of emotions, locations and activities football experience whilst watching their teams. For this one I wanted to create a film that not only appeals to both its natural audience in way that demonstrated Expedia ‘gets’ football but also appeals to those less passionate about the beautiful game through its fresh execution and style. This approach manifests itself most notably in the diverse and youthful ensemble cast, the vibrant production design, pacy style of edit and - importantly - through the multiple nods to different fans and teams hidden in the layers of art-direction. Thanks to all involved in pulling this together.
