As far as I can remember, I have always been driven by telling stories. Diving more into CG over the years has probably been the best way for me to approach cinematography. "Gone" is taking part of this learning and experimenting process.
The main idea of the film is to explore how a series of events, ordinarily spaced in time, could at some point merge together. Memories can often appear chronologically disorganized when tied to negative experiences. Why is our brain only remembering snapshots of painful events? Why do we sometimes forget how these isolated "pictures" are connected together? Does time as we understand it only move forward? What if the events we are supposed to live in the future already happened? What if we were spending our entire life trying to change the inevitable? What if our acts were guided for a reason?
These are the questions I wanted to explore with this film.
