Rituals worked in collaboration with the Rijksmuseum to create an exclusive range of products that drew inspiration from the historic connection between 17th century Dutch culture and the Far East.
The range features Dutch Tulips and Japanese Yuzu, and draws inspiration from the scenes depicted on “The lidded vase” by artist Gerrit Pietersz on view in the Rijksmuseum.
We recreated the feel of 17th century glaze with its deep blue tones, soft cloudy shading and distinctive lines with water colour paintings that we coloured in post, adding grain and cracks and painting it onto the screen. Our aim was to create a visual poem, a dreamy journey that will bring the scents to life. Tell is in the comment section if we succeeded in sweeping you along.
