Strangers

A story of exploration and self-discovery, ‘strangers’ is one man’s inner journey during his sojourn in Central Asia, of trials and tribulations that lead him towards the true meaning of Raya – sacrifice and kindness to others.
Erman, a PETRONAS engineer stationed abroad, accidentally meets Jeyhun, a young boy, full of curiosity about the world around him. Their relationship parallels the collaboration between PETRONAS and the local people in countries where PETRONAS explores. While the two start out as strangers, every step brings them closer to realising their own true potential by reimagining their energy and contributing to the world they live in, to discovering their inner strength and making a difference to those around them.
While PETRONAS films in the past celebrated stories from within the country, Raya Merdeka 2012 begins a new chapter – telling of a broader PETRONAS story and the role it plays across the globe.
