毎年体育の日に開催される、スポーツの祭典「Nスポ！」。昨年に引き続き、2018年は巨大ビジョンを複数枚使用したインタラクティブコンテンツ、「ATHELES IN MOTION」が登場しました。
世界最速の男、体操の絶対王者、義足のジャンパーなど、トップアスリートの動きを再現した３Ｄアバターたちが、東京国際フォーラムに設置された、4枚の最大300インチの巨大LEDモニターの中に出現。モニター上に映った観客の間を、モーションキャプチャーで動きを再現したアスリートの3Dアバターが駆け巡るAR施策です。
実際にはそこに存在しないアスリートたちが、LEDモニターの中ではあたかも自分たちのすぐ側にいるように感ぜられ、アスリートたちの動きのダイナミックさを体感することのできる施策です。
BIRDMANは「ATHLETES IN MOTION」のディレクション、デザイン、CG、センシング、実装周りを担当しました。
NHK, Japan's national public broadcasting organization, holds a sports festival to celebrate Health and Sports Day　each year on the second Monday in October. The same as last year, this year we organized 'ATHLETES IN MOTION', a multi-screen interactive contents.
We created several types of virtual top athletes, such as the world’s fastest runner, best gymnast, best jumper with prosthetic limbs, we reproduced their movements in 3D and we set up everything on 4 huge 300-inch LED monitors at Tokyo’s largest exhibition center, Tokyo International Forum. Their movements were so real and dynamic as if the athletes were right there, behind the monitors.
BIRDMAN was in charge of art direction, art design, CG production, sensing control system & mounting.
