MTG社の開発するEMSデバイス「SIXPAD」をIoT化するにあたり、連動するアプリのコンセプトメイキングから始まり、企画から開発までを担当しました。単純なアプリの開発だけではなく、そもそもSIXPADのアプリは将来どうなるべきか、という将来を見据えたブランドの戦略やコンサルティングなどを含めてアプリの提案を行いました。特にモチベーション維持のためのポイントの開発とそれを使ったレベルの可視化、バッジなどのインセンティブを使ったゲーミフィケーションの設計は時間をかけて提案を行いました。
その他にリモコンとして使いやすさを最大化するためのUI設計に加えて、毎日のトレーニングモチベーションを維持喚起するためのし掛けや、トレーニング内容のビジュアライズなどで効果を可視化したところはこだわっている。余計な機能は削ぎ落としながらもトレーニング継続に効果的なアプリ設計となっています。
MTG, the company that developed the EMS device 'SIXPAD', hired us to work on further building it into an IoT device through an app. We took charge of the whole project, anything from concept to planning and development. We started with the question of what was the 'SIXPAD' app suppose to look like in the future, and we focused on discovering a strong brand strategy.
We took our time and structured the app like a game designed around rewards, such as developing a point system to keep the users motivated, the possibility to use those points to level up, or earn badges. We focused in particular on the the UI to make it easier for the app to be used as a remote control, to empower them to train everyday and be able to visualize the content of their work-out. We kept the app features to a minimum for allow users to focus on continuing their training.
