Volvo wants to help combat the global plastic pollution crisis and support ocean sustainability.
It partnered with ‘City Kids Surfing’, a social enterprise on a mission to turn inner-city kids into future guardians of the world’s oceans. 1 in 5 children in the UK have never seen the ocean. With Volvo’s support even more inner city children will now have a chance to experience the ocean and learn about sustainability. A documentary about the partnership ‘The Unseen Ocean’, is showing on Britain’s premier entertainment channel, Sky Atlantic. Thanks to the partnership with Volvo, City Kids Surfing now has funding for at least 5 years.
