The first RAC TV Commercial from BBH. Creative Directors Nick & Kevin brought thecomposers.tv in on the job to create the musical backdrop for this charming film.
The film tells the story of a Car Breakdown and ‘charm’ was the lead keyword used to describe how the music needed to work, with a slight cue to the seasonality.
Also, not wanting to lose the atmospheric winter ‘silence’ and underfoot ‘crunch’ of fallen snow, we delivered ultra-minimal pieces using composed & searched-for tracks. This piece was originally played on piano. However, to emphasise the requested seasonality a Celesta instrument was added to double up on the soft keyed piano.
The two instrument’s work well together and the melodic phrasings dance nicely around the VO without interfering.
