I was merely 15, when I discovered a Film studio across my tuition center - A juvenile adolescent, absolutely amused by the arresting sight of filming a narrative, The cinematic dexterity of capturing emotions through the lens of a camera, and in that moment a realization kicked in, and I instantly knew; This is what I aspired to be. I found myself spending hours in the vicinity, learning everything I could.
My arduous Journey began at that very studio working as a spot boy, from serving tea to moving chairs, I was determined to believe that one day, I will own that director’s chair and manifest the art of story-telling as a visionary that dictates it all, despite the criticism I faced owing to my father’s contrasting interests and plans for my future, growing up in a household where I was raised to be an entrepreneur, compelled to receive a degree in marketing, I refused to let my dreams and aspirations of becoming a film maker shatter and disappear to ashes. I kept going on.
They say, perseverance can achieve wonders, Today, I am proud to announce that I am the embodiment of that notion. Breaking the shackles of social constructs, and fighting through the forces that pull you down along this ladder, I have finally earned the title of a Director. Here’s to my most valued accomplishment, my very first commercial as a director. This is only the beginning of a dream, coming to life.
