‘Stories from our Supporters’ showcases the passion, enthusiasm and unforgettable Biennale of Sydney experiences of our benefactors – individuals who value and celebrate what we do.
In this edition, ‘The Foundation’, we meet Kerr Neilson and Paris Neilson, Directors of the Neilson Foundation, Principal Patrons of the 21st Biennale of Sydney. The Neilson Foundation was established in 2007 to support both the arts and charities that work towards social cohesion; improving accessibility to the arts with the aim of enriching the cultural landscape of Sydney and Australia and assisting organisations which support individuals facing extreme disadvantage.
The Biennale of Sydney raises more than 60 percent of our total exhibition budget each edition through philanthropy, corporate partnerships and international cultural funding agencies. This vital support helps keep the Biennale free for everyone to enjoy!
