VPRO Dorst asked me to participate in a very interesting project: an interactive film on Youtube, about the disconnect we have with the people on the other side of our devices. Meaning; you never know what's going on at the other side. To show this, they made a film that told 4 stories simultaneously and enabled the viewer to switch between them at any time. The one element that connected all four stories would be a chat conversation between two people. So four stories, 8 characters and one chat conversation. Quite the challenge, because we had to create a story without changing anything in the chat dialogue.
Of each story we made a director's cut, a film that focused purely on each directors' film. This is mine.
