I shot this video of a huge gorse fire in Slish Wood Sligo. 3/5/17
The fire reached 2 kilometres long and 50 metres high.
It was strangely surreal to see the fire swallow up the land.
Though, I really enjoyed the spectacle if truth be told.
The Garda were there to prevent people from harm, so I was unable to get very close to the flames.
(not from lack of trying)
I went there at about 1am and stayed until about 3am.
I captured what I could...
The low light made it quite difficult to shoot, as besides the distant flames it was pitch black.
