A music video I animated for 'The Funk Hunters.' The song has a relaxing vibe that sounds like a perfect song to cruise in a car at night to. It begins with acoustic funk/soul music, then midway through there is a heavier electronic breakdown that gives off more of a party vibe, so I built this animation to reflect that, having it take place in a city somewhat grounded in reality like acoustic instruments, then changing the environment to a digital unreality to reflect the electronic parts. The city mashes 70's aesthetic with the futuristic, just like the band combined EDM with the funk genre. Although this is just being released now, it was actually the very first 3D animation project I ever worked on and it was a very fun and challenging learning experience from concept to execution.
