SOLAR KITCHEN & SIMPLE TABLE / BYE BYE / 2018

故事的開始是我們在陽明山上認養了一塊梯田。
2010年的春天，憑著無毒、環境友善為原則創立日光大道健康廚坊，因為希望縮短食物的里程便選擇山下的天母作為第一站，用當季、在地的農產品，以適切的手法，拒絕使用化學添加物，烹調出健康、好吃的料理，重新發現地方的特色與魅力，聯繫土地與人的距離。
我們期許自己不只是一家麵包店，更希望能成為社區綠色資訊中心的夢想。PLA容器與麵包袋、無毒竹粉杯、竹片叉盤；無甲醛、無毒、天然材質打造的室內空間，還想要透過畫作、攝影、錄像、裝置⋯⋯等，用健康料理與藝術人文，建構美味關係！
雖然近幾年餐飲真的很艱辛，面對不斷迎來的各種挑戰，我們不想怨天尤人。因為不想隨波逐流、更不想鬆手妥協，沒辦法選擇較高的利潤而捨棄我們與顧客許下一個更加安心的未來，所以很抱歉的我們必須在今年秋天劃下句點。

It all started when we adopted a piece of farmland on Yangmingshan.
The summer of 2010 saw the beginning of Solar Kitchen, our own brand born from a desire to be environmentally friendly and free from additives. The decision to open our first restaurant in Tienmu allowed us to reduce the "food miles" used by our mountain-sourced ingredients, prioritizing local and seasonal foods to be prepared with loving hands, unsullied by chemical additives, offering healthy and delicious meals worthy of our own kitchen tables. Maybe this would be the first step reconnecting with this land of ours, rediscovering local tastes and features.
We wanted to be more than just a bakery, but rather a green place for the community. We used PLA containers and bread bags, bamboo cups and cutlery, in a space built using natural and recycled materials accentuated with various forms of art, including drawings, video, and installations to create a new and unique dining experience.
Times have admittedly been rather difficult in the restaurant industry as of late, but we took on various challenges in full stride. Ultimately, forced to choose between compromising between quality, our ideals, our promise to customers, and the harsh reality of cost concerns, we made the difficult decision to draw things to a close at the end of this year.
