I had the opportunity to be Animation Supervisor for this bold new campaign by the British Army, alongside a team of amazing designers and animators at We Are Royale.
Taking on the role of lead animator for this spot on faith, besides being able to work with some really beautiful imagery, I had the chance to tackle animation with a strong narrative focus for the first time in a long while. With each shot of the script, I had to figure out how to breath life and movement into the frame without taking away from the brilliance of the artwork. It was a difficult task, but being able to craft each shot of this sequence and see it all come together was very rewarding.
I also got to work with the amazing Jake Armstrong again on this spot, and he pitched in some stellar cel animation to help this one really shine.
