Our small team at Royale collaborated with ip2 Entertainment to develop a real-time interactive map kiosk, created in Unity and C4D, to run at their NatGeo Ultimate Explorer attractions in China and Mexico. I was in charge of 3D and animation.
Role: 3D, Animation, Lighting, Unity Development
Unity Development: Dave Felton
Additional 3D: Roy Kang
Playing on a 75" touch screen in the entrance to the park, the map kiosk had to remain active and visually engaging when idle, but be responsive enough to seamlessly transition based on user interaction.
The challenge was to create looping animation states for each attraction and for the park environment that could blend between one another at any point in their cycle. When attractions were highlighted, the map environment needed to dynamically adjust its lighting and animation to focus on the current selection.
