This intriguing Nike film shines a light on Seoul’s Private Road Running Club (PRRC) – an after-hours crew with energy to burn. Furlined’s Lasse Martinussen charts the group’s nightly excursions, and how they fuel their daytime pursuits.
Anyone who enjoys an evening stroll will have seen fluorescent joggers commandeer pavements – not a common sight in Seoul, apparently. The ad plays the PRRC’s rebellious streak to the hilt. Some may consider running exercise – for this lot, it’s party time.
Seductive shots of Seoul’s nightlife catch the eye. Meanwhile, the narrator extols running’s subversive qualities. While it’s hard to imagine running as an ‘extreme’ sport, this suggests there’s more to pounding pavements than meets the eye.
