Created by Kathryn Ferguson in collaboration with Hannah Pool. A Return to Natural explores the stylistic comeback of natural afro hair through the personal stories of writer and curator Hannah Pool, shoe designer Marc Hare, musician Adio Marchant (Bipolar Sunshine), theatre director Monique Sterling, and writer / commentator Emma Dabiri.
Whether they view it as a political statement or simply a style choice, it is clear that how each one styles their hair has played a big part in defining who they are and the image they present to the outside world.
This is the fourth of four films commissioned by Selfridges for The Beauty Project.
