Nowadays people seem to go further in showcasing themselves on so many platforms like the internet and in reality series. The freedom of online anonymity and the digital companionship invite people to go beyond their own boundaries. This becomes a play-field where people do weird things, we become a derailed society in which moral standards have been stretched and boundaries have become blurry.
This was the main thought from where I started creating the concept of my video. I exaggerated this by showing a group of mentally disorientated characters, victims of personal obsessions trapped in their own reality. They are part of an online entertainment experience that is serving the mass with their peculiar stories. I tried to evoke the sensation that the viewer of the video feels that he shouldn't be watching but can't stop looking and feels some tragic discommode coming up. The characters in the video evoke a certain indistinctness, are they really stuck in own worlds or are they aware of their role and consciously playing with you?
