The interstitials introduce us to each couple in the film and their neuroses, with a brief explanation of what their "philia" actually means.
The opening cards of the film gradually bathe the audience in a pink, loving glow, working with the score to build anticipation before the reveal of the first shot of the film. The text in our intro pulses in and out slowly, and the faint particles give us a sense of the organic - suitable for a title that literally means "an orgasm".
