I was invited by director Ken Lambert of Ink Project to VFX Supervise the shoot of 3 TVCs for Foxtel featuring Chris Hemsworth (aka Thor) and then composite the spots in Flame, with design elements from 3D and After Effects.
Filmed in a dark, empty studio, each shot required precise tracking and roto to insert the LED light installations that surround Chris, as he wanders through the world of light reflecting on the experience and emotion that movies bring us. As such, careful on-set prep was of absolute importance.
The spot was filmed at Fox Studios in Sydney, with design & VFX was completed at Ink Project. A small team of only two compositors and one 3D artist created this over several weeks. As lead comp, my role covered VFX supervision, shot management, look development (After Effects and Flame) and compositing (Flame).
