This commercial was for the launch Toyota's new Vios car into the Chinese market.
I was part of the VFX team working in Flame compositing CG signs into the live action plates. Some signs were exported as FBX planes which were then textured and lit in Action, while others were provided as multi pass renders from Houdini. Other tasks included crowd replication, set extensions to the buildings and also extending the stage at the end to become larger through camera projections.
This job required a lot of car and road cleanup, along with plenty of roto and green screen keying. I was also tasked with adding the Chinese subtitles and titling followed by versioning.
