The Godori Dinner series is a collaborative dining event that features five Magpie beers paired with 5 dishes created by the hosting restaurant. The team works together to decide the theme and select which beers would pair best with their flavours and cuisine. Occasionally the existing beers don’t work and a new beer (or two) is created specifically for the event. The concept was created as a way to elevate the perception of beer, and give our creative teams a way to have some fun and produce food and drink a little outside of the ordinary.
Founded in 2014, The Beastro is a new American restaurant located in Hongdae, owned and operated by siblings Catherine Chung and Matthew J Chung. The restaurant is designed to feel like a comfortable, modern American home, which is reflected in the friendly and smart service. The driving philosophy behind the service is that dining out should be fun and comfortable without being dumbed down. The menu focuses on casual and approachable North American cuisine prepared with attention to detail and modern technique. It evolves along with the seasons, resulting in a menu that is a blend of perennial favorites and seasonal specialties. The bar program takes a culinary approach to building drinks, catering to both casual and serious drinkers with original signature cocktails, classic cocktails, craft beers, and a carefully curated wine list.
