About the Work
For Milano Salone 2008, the international furnishing accessories exhibition, WOW collaborated in Tokyo Wonder, a joint exhibition with Curiosity and Tonerico, with the installation Lights and Shadows. This work explores the chaotic beauty of a Tokyo night view. With its peculiar refined scenic beauty, Lights and Shadows is a more sensual experience rather than cerebral one.
作品について
2008年のミラノサローネで開催した「Tokyo Wonder」のために制作した作品。WOWの作品の役割は東京の持つパワー、美しさ、儚(はかな)さを、理屈ではなく見て感じてもらうこと。この作品のモチーフになっている東京の夜景は、他の都市にはない美しさと混沌を合わせ持っているーその特異な景色を、光と影というミニマムな要素だけで表現した作品。
