Tranceflora Amy's Glowing Silk

About the Work
Contemporary artist Sptuniko! held her "Tranceflora - Amy's glowing silk" exhibition at Gucchi Shinjuku. Installations and photographs of Sptuniko's "Rose-Scented Silk" and "Silk That Will (Probably) Make You Fall In Love," conceived jointly with the National Institute of Agrobiological Sciences (NAIS) and their "glowing silk," was on display. WOW oversaw the CG for a short film that opened at the exhibition.
It tells the story of the protagonist, Amy, who is in love with a certain man, and who seeks to create the ultimate dress from genetically-modified "Love Silk" that can capture his heart. The love silk Amy wears expresses brilliance and beauty through the captivating spots of light that run along her body.

現代美術家のスプツニ子！さんによる「Tranceflora - エイミの光るシルク」展がグッチ新宿にて開催。農業生物資源研究所（生物研）が開発した「光るシルク」や、スプツニ子！さんと生物研が共同構想中の「バラの香りのするシルク」「恋に落ちる（かもしれない）シルク」を扱った、インスタレーションや写真を展示。WOWは、会場で公開しているショートフィルムのCGを担当。
とある男性に恋した主人公”エイミ”が、彼を自分の虜にできる究極のドレスを創るために、遺伝子組み換えで「恋のシルク」を創り出そうとする姿が描かれている。体に沿って這う艶やかな光や粒子でエイミが纏う恋のシルクの華やかさ、美しさを表現した。
