About the Work
The world biggest jewelry and watch trade fair “Baselworld 2018” held from Thursday, March 22 to Tuesday, March 27 in 2018. WOW produced the technology movie of “Caliber 0100” announced by CITIZEN, the ultrahigh precision photovoltaic eco drive movement, which performs the world’s first “annual equation ± 1 second”.
It focused on “1 second” with images centered on the second hand. The hand ticking a second expressed a sense of tension, and the characteristic texture of a beautiful crystal added delicacy and transparency to the entire image. It showed the technology of CITIZEN in an easy-to-understand manner, such as a quartz oscillator and an IC circuit, which enabled “the annual equation of 1 second”.

2018年3月22日（木）〜27日（火）、スイス・バーゼルで開催された世界最大の宝飾と時計の見本市「Baselworld 2018」。WOWはCITIZENが発表した、世界初「年差±１秒」という超高精度光発電エコ・ドライブムーブメント「Calibre 0100」のテクノロジームービーを制作。
秒針を中心に描き、「１秒」にフォーカス。１秒１秒動く針が緊張感を出しながらも、特徴的な美しいクリスタルの質感が、映像全体に繊細さと透明感を演出。「年差１秒」を可能にした、水晶振動子やIC回路といった技術を分かりやすく描き、CITIZENの技術力の高さを表現した。
